Marbella 2012
This year saw the Rebel Tour descend on Marbella in Andalucía & what a cracking time was had by all. It seems like an age ago now but it is only 12 weeks since we returned!!
The hotel was absolutely superb & so much of an improvement on our experience last year in Majorca. The staff were very helpful, the check in was seamless & the rooms were comfy & spacious. Most had A lovely balcony overlooking the sea & the promenade (although sometimes obscured by very low cloud or sea mist!) & if you were lucky you could see the front door of Desire !!
Breakfast was a huge buffet with a Chef cooking omelettes & eggs & you could find most anything you wanted. There Was also champagne but most of the Rebel Tour avoided this as they had only been in for a couple of hours!!
Day 1 - The Ryder Cup, Santa Maria
A fiercely contested battle between Pauls Team (seen in the red) & Kev’s team (seen in the yellow) with Paul’s team battering Kev’s team for the 4th Year on the bounce & establishing a 5/4 lead in the contest.
The final result was 8½ to 3½ & needless to say we had to wear the silly headgear around the streets of Marbella for the night(See the gallery pictures). I also had to wear a pair of massive clown shoes as a penance for having a massive smash in the golf Buggy & tearing the front wheel off!

The presentation evening took place at Beckitts Restaurant in Marbella & was bloody superb.
Steve, the owner & his staff looked after us all despite the banter & kept the drink flowing. The meal was probably the best we have experienced & we would thoroughly recommend it.

The presentation was the usual jovial banter with the Parnell boys dominating with a one two & new kid on the block Andy Murphy (aka Arthur Mullard) taking third place on his first trip. He took the floor to thank the lads & said that he had met some lovely people & also some complete idiots. He was also the first to say that he will definitely be up for the trip in 2013 (if selected)
Now the pressure is off me a bit (Captain Ken, retired & put out to pasture) I will try & keep this updated with any info & news about this years trip

Hi all you golfing buddies,
I’m sorry that this one has taken a bit of pulling together, but I got mass rejection for the Turkey idea & a few other problems crept in as you all know, but at last, the 10th Rebel Tour is booked & I’m already excited.
After last year, our very own Candyman had his scoring hand bitten & you should never bite the hand that feeds you, so we have gone for a better class of hotel in a better area. We have tried to keep it in budget & hope that you will all be pleased with our selection.

With both teams now sporting 4 stars each it's the big one! Let's do battle in the Spanish sun & see who gets their nose in front on our 10th Anniversary Ryder cup.
